Hello, This is Danvers Town Manager Steve Bartha. Heavy snow and high winds are expected to start at 7PM tonight in Danvers and continue through Wednesday morning. In preparation for the storm we ask you to consider the following:
•Please call our non-emergency Police dispatch at 978-774-1212 with any storm related concerns. For emergencies call 911. If necessary an emergency shelter will be established. Call 978-774-1212 if you need shelter.
• If you should lose power, please call Danvers Electric at 978-774-0005.
•If you have neighbors who may require assistance, please check in with them early to determine if there is anything they need
•Tuesday’s trash collection will be delayed one day, as will every other collection day this week, with Friday’s collection scheduled for Saturday.
•On street parking is prohibited in Danvers after 1:00 am tonight and will continue until further notice. A follow up call with detailed parkin g ban information will be made later today.
•Homes with low external furnace vents need to be shoveled clear to eliminate any danger of carbon monoxide back up.
•The Town Hall will be closed on Tuesday. Storm information can be found at the Town’s website, www.danvers.govoffice.com, and at Danvers Community Access Television (DCAT) channel 22 (Comcast)and channel 41 (Verizon).
