For Immediate Release:
At approximately 8:20 this morning, the Danvers Police responded to the rear access road of Thorpe School to investigate a report of a suspicious male party on school property. A witness reported observing a male urinating on the grass adjacent to the access road between the school and Grapevine Road. The male was quickly located walking towards Burley Street. Further investigation revealed that the male was in possession of several items that had been stolen from motor vehicles in the area. Out of an abundance of caution, Thorpe School Administration has notified parents of the incident and we would like to reiterate that there was no threat to the school or to public safety at any time.
The male has been identified as Kristopher Foley, age 31, of Beverly. Foley is being charged with the following:
Open and Gross Lewdness
Disturbing the Peace
Receiving Stolen Property
The Danvers Police Department is currently in possession of several unclaimed items that have yet to be reported stolen. Thus far, we have received reports of vehicles being entered on Barbara Road, Burley Street, Grapevine Road and Stafford Road. Residents are encouraged to contact the police department at 978-774-1213 ext. 4113 if they believe their vehicle was entered.
