There is currently a power outage in the Rt. 114 corridor of Town due to a motor vehicle crash. The outage has effected the traffic lights from 161 Andover Street to the Middleton Line. Please use caution when traveling this stretch of roadway. Crews are actively working to repair the problem.
The Danvers Police Department and the Danvers Public Schools, for the first time, are partnering to offer a FREE Rape Aggression Defense System course to graduating female seniors. Many of the young women are heading off to college, and it’s a chance for them to learn self-defense skills.
The classes will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Danvers High on Tuesdays: April 28, May 5, May 12 and May 19
Rape Aggression Defense System (R.A.D.) is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance, and then progresses to cover the basics of hands-on defense training. Classes will be taught by officers who are nationally certified R.A.D. instructors. The class is limited to 25 participants.

Swing by Thorpe Elementary School on April 11th between 9am-12pm to have your child’s car seat checked for safety! Nationally certified technicians will be available to check your existing car seat, install a new one or provide a new car seat – ALL free of charge. Massachusetts law now requires all firearms holders and gun owners to report all personal sales, transfers, and surrenders of firearms through the Massachusetts Gun Transaction Portal. Paper FA-10 forms will no longer be accepted for the above purposes.
